    Driving, and thus having a driving licence, is an essential part of live for all adult European citizens.
    Some drivers (applicants) encounter physical and/or cognitive limitations that might be of influence to comply to the principles for getting and/or having a driving licence. In order to enhance the mobility situation for drivers (applicants) with physical and/or cognitive limitations the leading experts in this field have joint their efforts to make the existing knowledge available.     CAPI

    CAPI is an initiative from car-adaptation industry together with three national authorities and a major customer of adapted vehicles. CAPI aims to enhance the mobility for persons with physical and/or cognitive limitations in Europe by development of a safety and quality protocol for car-adaptations. This protocol aims to stimulate EUwide the availability of affordable adapted vehicles that are comparable safe as "standard" vehicles. Read more ....


    News   European Mobility Debate

    CAPI and Portare were both presented at the European Mobility Debate in London at 12 October 2007. Senior representatives from governments, the automotive industry and vehicle adaptation and conversion specialists were brought together to discuss. Read more ....

    News   Annual meeting European Mobility Group

    The members of the European Mobility Group (EMG) were updated about the CAPI work during their Annual General Meeting in Stuttgart at Friday 26 October 2007. In this meeting the EMG members decided to continue their funding for the CAPI work in 2008. Read more ....
